Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah, the Almighty God).

Islam-Australia Incorporation is a non-profit organization (based in Perth ) dedicated to share the true teachings of Islam with non-Muslims and to provide social and spiritual services to new Muslims. We strive (to the best of our ability) to adhere to the true teachings of Islam at all times. Some of the ways through which we are trying to achieve our aims are:

  1. Maintaining a regularly updated web site containing various articles and links aimed towards non-Muslim readers who wish to know about Islam. www.islam-australia.net .
  1. Online Service: Providing Islamic reading and audio / visual material free of cost to interested non-Muslims, answering their questions and following up with them. This service is available for non-Muslims all over Australia. We achieve this with the help of following people:

Sr. Nasirah Cavaney (National Coordinator / Representative for VIC)

Sr. Shifa Mustapha (Representative for QLD)

Sr. Jo Hassan (Representative for NSW)

Br. Wassim Dannawi (National Coordinator / Representative for NSW)

Br. Muhammad Altaf (Overall Coordinator)

This service started 6 years ago and is constantly improving.

  1. Magazine: Publishing the ‘Islam A Closer Look’ magazine every 2 months which contains articles that are aimed towards non-Muslims to make them aware of Islam. The people contributing towards this are:

Sr. Calisha Bennett (WA)

Br. Wassim Dannawi (NSW)

Sr. Nasirah Cavaney (VIC)

Muslim Women Support Centre (WA)

Br. Ighsaan Davids (reviewer, WA)

Br. Mohammed Mahir (Publications Coordinator, WA)

Br. Kashif Saleem (cover design, WA)

The soft copy version is released via email and posted on our website, while the hard copies are printed and stapled/folded by our local volunteers in Perth. The hard copies are then distributed to non-Muslims in NSW, VIC, QLD and WA with the help of our volunteers.

  1. TV: Producing the Consider Islam TV program consisting of short weekly episodes. During 2004-2005, we have completed 3 series (each consisting of 6 episodes) and one long series containing 30 episodes in Perth. In addition to this, we have completed a) two series of 6 episodes each on Brisbane’s local TV channel Briz31 and b) one series of 6 episodes on Adelaide’s local TV channel C31. During 2006 we have completed 4 series (6 episodes per series) each in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane and 2 series (6 episodes per series) in Melbourne. This program has been the reason for a) 100s of non-Muslims requesting us for a copy of Quran or Islamic literature and b) Positive response from many non-Muslims. Alhamdulillah (praise be to Almighty God).
  1. Delivering talks at Speakers Steps at Forrest Chase Centre, Perth on alternate Sundays, setting up a Free Islamic Literature Table in front of Art Gallery, Perth on every Sunday & organising a Free Islamic Literature Table at annual Multicultural fares/festivals in WA.

  1. Accepting invitations for talks from Rotary clubs, Schools and Religious organizations to their members/students about Islam.

  1. Where do we get the money for all of the above?
